WWAACC is committed to providing education and support to families, caregivers, educators, and service providers of children with autism spectrum disorders. WWAACC volunteers are looking forward to coordinating, facilitating, or providing the following:

WWAACCshops are designed to provide support for families, caregivers, educators, & service providers of children with ASD, but some content may also be relevant to other special needs.

This informational workshop will focus on understanding State and County services and funding, eligibility, waiting lists, and how to maneuver through the maze of what’s available for individuals with disabilities.

This informational workshop will focus on understanding how to encourage appropriate behaviors for children with autism spectrum disorders. Multiple practical strategies will be explored.

November 24, 2008 6-8pm The ABCs of an IEP
(Individual Education Plan)
This informational workshop will cover the special education process, from referral to IEP development. This workshop will focus on how to function as equal members of an IEP team to best meet the needs of a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
