Information about autism spectrum disorders

"WWAACC facilitated a training for Turningpoint staff members that provided us with information regarding autism, the needs of parents and children, and the services provided by WWAACC. My staff commented on how helpful and informative this training was. They also stated that the training helped them feel more confident in their abilities to effectively and thoroughly meet the needs of the children we serve."

- Vickie Goulette, Executive Director, Turningpoint

Volunteer Support Parents

The Western Wisconsin Autism Advocacy & Consulting Center (WWAACC) is collaborating with Parent to Parent of Wisconsin to train parents of children with ASD (Autism, PDD, Asperger’s) to become support parents to other parents of children with ASD. Parents raising children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) can provide a unique kind of support that cannot come from any other source. Connecting with and receiving support from another parent who has been there can be one of the most empowering experiences for parents as they make their way through their journey.
